Imagine what it was like 200, 1,000 or even 5,000 years ago where the vast majority of time humans spent was committed to finding enough food to eat. So, even with today\u2019s glut of dangerous foods, getting enough healthy, clean food to eat is still incredibly easier today than ever before.<\/p>\n<p>Even with this historical perspective, it can be easy to imagine that the decks are stacked against me. There are challenges. So, let\u2019s bring the challenges into the light, then click on THE RESPONSE for tips on overcoming them.<\/p>\n<p>Temptations &amp; Challenges\u2013How it\u2019s not my fault<br \/><a title=\"Temptations\" href=\"http:\/\/035e6ee.netsolhost.com\/WordPress\/transitions\/excuses-excuses\/temptations\/\">THE RESPONSE<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Food companies hire<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/articles.mercola.com\/sites\/articles\/archive\/2013\/03\/21\/addictive-junk-food.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scientists who work very hard<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/a>to find the most addictive combination in the processed foods they develop.<\/li>\n<li>Grocery stores tempt us with around<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fmi.org\/research-resources\/supermarket-facts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">40,000 processed foods<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>every time we walk through the store.<\/li>\n<li>GMOs are now present in<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/studies-show-gmos-in-majority-of-us-processed-foods-58-percent-of-americans-unaware-of-issue-104510549.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">75 to 80 percent of conventional processed food<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>in the U.S., according to the Grocery Manufacturers Association. (more)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.plosone.org\/article\/fetchArticle.action?articleURI=info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0000698\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Recent research<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>has shown that refined sugar is more addictive than cocaine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s my body\u2019s fault<br \/><a title=\"My Body\u2019s Fault\" href=\"http:\/\/035e6ee.netsolhost.com\/WordPress\/transitions\/excuses-excuses\/my-bodys-fault\/\">THE RESPONSE<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My genetic code is designed to pack in calories when available. That\u2019s from the time when survival was difficult and humans feasted in order to survive times of famine.<\/li>\n<li>As my body heals, I might temporarily feel more uncomfortable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Denial\u2013I Eat Fine<br \/><a title=\"I eat FINE\" href=\"http:\/\/035e6ee.netsolhost.com\/WordPress\/transitions\/excuses-excuses\/excuses\/\">THE RESPONSE<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Then there\u2019s always denial. It\u2019s a mighty powerful force, \u201cI don\u2019t need to worry about this, what I eat is fine,\u201d It is the \u201cI-Eat-Well-Enough-Syndrome\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Blame Others<br \/>THE RESPONSE<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Others around me might not want to change.<\/li>\n<li>I live in a food desert.
